Windows Media Player in WinME

Is the WMP7 in WinME is the release version? What version is it?

And what's IE 5.5 version?

It probably will be the release version of both medaiplayer and internet explorer, but I doubt ms will offically say that until the release date for ME draws closer. I was shocked to find that WinME only has DX7.1 installed. Oh well.

LordQria: what version of DirectX were you expecting to be installed then? 7.0a is the latest version, 8.0 is still in beta and not complete. I don't think it's reasonable to include DirectX 8 simply because it is the latest....it's not finished yet. I would think that it's safer to go with something that is fully tested rather than something that may compromise stability.

With reference the the Pioneer, yes it is the slot drive.

I have nothing but problems with the new media player in me. There are some serious bugs in it that lock up.

I'm using WinME Final version 3000.2 (Complementary copy for beta testing)
