Windows Media Player - how to stop message?

Every time I play a WMP file from a website (incl Amazon sound samples), I get this message:

Internet Sharing Configuration
C:\Program is attempting to change or view this computer's Internet Connection Protection settings. To give "C\Program permission to edit these settings for as long as the program is open, click YES."

There's even a 'Do not show this dialog again' button below that but checking it doesn't help.

How do I stop this?

I guess I'm confused, MPC is old, correct? I'd like to be able to just use the newest without problems.

no, MPC is open source media player that just looks like the old style... it is completely free and does all the things wmp can do, but less intrusive ... auto updates codecs, etc.
