windows media player 7?

I had windows media player 6 and when i opened movie files, it let me skip to the middle of the movie or where ever i wanted..

I opened a movie in media player 7, i just upgraded, and it wont let me skip around ...
It just plays straight through....
does anyone know an option that will let me skip around in the movie?
