Windows Media Player 7 SUCKS?

Damnit, I can't even run the best VCD I have at full-screen and it'll be all choppy and gay looking. It didn't do this before. Whats wrong!! ARGHH!! I've thought of everything and WMP is pissing me off....

my biggest pet peeve about win media 7 is that skin... 6.4 is so much cleaner in that little box.. that silver skin is HUGE

Anyone know how to totally wipe out media player 7??? Add/Remove programs -> Windows Setup doesn't seem to do the trick. I'm using Media Player 7 with some messed up codecs on Win ME, and I need to the default ones in!!!

I like 7 for playing MP3s, it has the cool effects. Otherwise I associated mpg/avi files with 6.4 (mplayer2.exe).

I tried WMP 7 on win 98SE and after 5 mins uninstalled it.

When I installed ME it was pre-installed - it's totally different - I used to refer to WMP 7 as a "486 simulator"

In ME it seems very nice - but in 98 it was awful?...weird.....

You can put a "classic" skin back on and keep in in small mode. I've pretty much got 7 working just like the good old days in it's functionality, but I'm running a fast cpu so it takes the bite out of the bloat.
