Windows Media Player 10 with no sounds?!

I just installed a fresh windows. I installed SP2 and WMP10. And I installed iTunes for my iPOD. iTunes is working fine, but when playing songs with WMP I cannot hear them. And when I play videos I can see the screen but there's no sound. So what do you think the problem is? I uninstalled and reinstalled it and am still having the same problem.

Try VLC (do a google) and see if you get the same problem.

I don't need another player, I already have iTunes. I want to know the reason for this problem because a large part of my media is WMA. Thanks for the suggestions, thoguh.
