Windows Media Player 10 error

Whenever I try to play a CD sample from Amazon.com, I get this error:

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.

Anyone know what the problem might be?
The Amazon Music Sampler works however.

WMP10 sucks. WMP7 was decent, but it's been going downhill even since then with hardware support and codec stability. I don't know what to tell you. I can't get WMP10 to play DVD's, and I think its codecs messed up the other players on my computer.

Any ideas? A setting maybe?
