Windows media center remote, will it control Itunes?

I am considering picking up a windows media center remote. Actually all I really need is the infrared receiver, since I will be using my harmony remote instead. But I am curious does it only control media center stuff, or will it allow me to skip and go back to differant tracks in Itunes?

i imagine it won't work with itunes. i'd be pleasently surprised if it works, but Apple and MS don't work together often.

thats understandable, but I didn't figure there was much apple could do about it. I mean my logitech keyboard allows me to switch tracks. I highly doubt they worked with apple to get it to do that.

I just figured it was some generic macro that caused devices to change the track. I am guessing ATI's remotes work with itunes, but I am not sure on that.

I just wasn't sure if the MCE remote only worked with media center, or if it works with other progrmas like the ATI remote would.

to be honest, i don't know. it may work it may not. try is all i can say. but if your keyboard works then you may be right and it is some sort of macro.
