At first, I avoided Windows ME because I heard about all the problems that it had freezing and everything. My cousin has Windows ME on his Sony computer, and it freezes constantly. I'm not sure if his hardware is causing the problems. But just the other day, I was looking at my manager fiddle with Windows ME for his friend's laptop, and I have to say, it's pretty good. The load times are really quick, and compared to Windows2000, you'll be able to play a lot more games. These are just a few reasons, I'm sure there are more, but I don't have any systems with ME on them. I'm going to try to install ME on my laptop and see how it goes. Hope this helps.

Conventional wisdom states "WinME=Bad" I have ran many public lanparties. And from the day winme came out I would stop the gaming at a convenient place and usually when we begin tournaments.. And as the questions Who has the ME! Who is having troubles with ME.. plenty of show of hands. If you are gamer I wouldnt go there. Ihave heard of peeps that love it. So I could be all wet.
IMHO Win98 se or win2k is the way to go

try this on winme, run 6ftp clients all downloading stuff, playing winamp and browsing ATOT, without slowing down your all pc or crashing it. or try this, open 2 ftp clients, start downloading, and run RCTW and check you ping, it should be stable, and under 120. if winME can do all the above, use it. if it can't switch over to winXP. :)

I was an official WinME beta tester, so everything works for me! :p

Seriously, I haven't had any real problems with ME. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that most problems experienced with ME result from installing/upgrading over something that was already FUBAR'd. The installation of WinME just made the problem more evident.

Granted, I will take Win2K over anything that out today (don't forget that I have 6 OSes running on my main machine ... including XP). But, if WinME meets your needs, I feel that it will do the job.
