Windows ME software *hack*

This thread isn't over anything illegal mods 🙂
I was wondering if anyone has the link to the "crack" that allows you to run ME on a system with less then 32mb of ram, I know most of you think this is stupid, but it's fine for a "router comp", thanks for the help 🙂

Win98se is better, smaller faster, i run it on my router too... 32 megs is sort of a minimum though, 16 is so slow you'll notice it when it tries to feed your internet connection =/

it's a p90 overclocked to 100mhz with 48megs ram (i get free old 286/386/486 pc's all the time with sticks in them)

If the machine is a dedicated router with limited memory, you might want to try something like FreeSCO.

I agree, some unix variant is the best for a computer like that.

If you must have your router comp running Windows, use Windows 95B. Use Wingate , Proxy Plus or NAT32.

If this system will do NOTHING but proxy, you may want to look at the Linux Router Project (http://www.linuxrouter.org/), it's a single floppy Linux distribution meant for this sort of thing.

Otherwise, 98SE with ICS, or 98 or 95 with WinGate are your best bets.

setup /nm /im (/nm skips proccessor checks, /im skips ram checks)
