Windows ME Shutdown Problem

I am running Windows ME on a PIII 500 with 128 MB Ram and everytime
I try to shutdown the system will act like it is going to shutdown,
but when it comes to the point where the machine will shut off it will
freeze. This has happened on three of my other systems as well. Is there
a patch or something that can fix this problem? 😕

A lot of people have had shutdown problems with ME. I have had none myself. Did you try searching the MS database? I'm sure there is some info on this subject.

If you can isolate what may be causing the improper shutdown, I will post a bug report on your behalf.
If you turn it ON and then SHUTDOWN, does it? Will it not shutdown properly only when I use a particular program, go online, play CD's..you get the picture. Find a corelation(sp?) and I will post it.

A few of my clients have reported these problems, and I have them too.
Id be happy with just a manual shutdown option. Pushing the button is no big deal.
