windows me newbie question

first, how do i format my hard-drive? second, is there anything else i'll need to re-install windows me besides a boot disk and the cd?

found this on the forums

1. Get a win98 boot disk
2. Boot the computer off the disk
3. it comes to A:, type >>> fdisk
4. select view partition
5. delete partitions
6. create a dos partition
7. restart comptuer with boot disk in
8. At A: type>> format C:
9. yes you want to format, it will format and take about 30min
10. reboot with boot disk again
11. at A: type>> D: (make sure win98 is D
12. type either install or setup (i dont remeber)
13. follow instructions

can anyone clarify that that would work with windows ME?

I assume you have all your data backed up...

Yes, that will work.
If you already have the partitions the way you want (i.e. one C: drive), then you can skip the fdisk and start at step 7
