Windows ME blue screen

I had recently built a new computer, and after installation of Windows ME it normally restarted. But with this restart, i got a blue screen error with that stated "An exception OE has occured at 0028:c006115D in VxD VNetBios (01).... It was called from 0028:C023F58B in VxD VMM(0C)..." While I can usually bypass this error, I would like to get it fixed somehow. Any suggestions?

hmmm... try searching for vnetbios.vxd in the registry and deleting the threads
I'd recommnd backip up the registry first though
you might have to reinstall network components after that

This is straight from Microsoft....
Windows Me Startup Issues

This is towards the middle of the page
If the problem file is any of the following files, the problem is most likely with your network adapter:
Vnetsup.vxd
Ndis.vxd
Vnetbios.vxd
Vredir.vxd
Dfs.vxd
Vserver.vxd
Ndiswan.vxd
If the cause of the problem is your network adapter driver, contact the network adapter manufacturer and obtain a newer driver that works with Windows Me.
