I'm trying to help my friend retrieve a lost/accidentally deleted MS Excel file. She is using Windows ME and as far as I know, it comes with some backup program. She tried retrieving a backup from a certain date to no avail.

Does anyone know anything about retrieving lost files? It's a very important file btw. Please...
