Windows ME and HP Scanjet 5200C

I can't seem to get my HP Scanjet to run on my Windows ME correctly. It is not recognizing the USB port after I install the software. I went to the HP site and downloaded the update for Windows ME and it is still not recognizing my usb port. Do you have any solutions to my problems? I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Did you 'Enable IRQ for USB' in your BIOS? If not, that could be the problem.

is your m/board via chipset based, in which case you may needthe via usb filter driver from here. it's at the bottom of the page!
