Seeing as I never purchase software for full price, I don't particularly mind. Being a member of the MSDN AA has its advantages, one of which being the remarkable ease by which one can acquire the latest operating system from Windows. I'm sure that when Longhorn hits I'll be able to get it for $12 shipped. I highly recommend the rest of you who happen to be CS majors do the same.

I do find it interesting that IE has with 7.0 finally gotten around to implimenting tabbed browsing.

EDIT: I'm running a hacked uxtheme.dll on my system right now, using the Jaguar (Mac) theme with Windows. However, if someone has a theme which looks like the GUI shown in these screenshots please give me a link. I figure if I have the capability to do so, I might as well make my OS contain a good deal of eye candy too.

If .NET being O/S native is excellent news (much improved speed, no need for framework, or any type of emulation, etc).

The framework and JIT compilation will still be there, it'll just be a little more integrated which pretty much means it's be that much harder to fix when something goes wrong.
