Windows Live Mail Client Settings

Hello. I am using Windows Live mail client with gmail and 1and1 IMAP. The client is great and both mail accounts work fine. I have gmail configured correctly and mail gets routed to the correct folders. However, with 1and1 (IMAP), sent mail disappears. In the client, if I check the box under the Send tab to store sent mail in the sent items folder, all works fine, but I get duplicate emails in the sent items folder.

Is there a way to have both clients work accordingly?
