I hear word of few "liter" versions of windows xp pro now and again.. (maybe just recreated with nlite?)

It seems like they just remove a few things, so XP uses less memory, but with today's machine with 1 or 2 g, isn't that plenty?

Would there be any SPEED difference in any of these liter versions as claimed?

hey,
well i dont think the liter version would have any speed increase. xp reach its limits awhile back now, and it doesnt matter to it if ur running a core 2 or a p4, it won't load faster or anything like that. though memory gains could help other programs load but xp on its own wont perform better. i used xp on a number of compys starting way back with p3 celerons (maybe even p2 not sure on that) and to be honest going all the way down to semprons i didnt notice any major speed boost. now im running a laptop turion x2 with vista :) so xp days over for me.
