I just upgraded my comp and when I went to activate windows on the new HD, it is giving me an invalid product key error. I have 2 certificates of authenticity and both give the same error. Do I need to call the tech support number or is there an easier way around this?

Open the product activation
choose the telephone option
1-888-571-2048
yes
yes
use the keypad on the phone to input the numbers
if it cannot validate then you'll need to speak to the activation rep
