Windows is constantly updating the same patch!!!

My OS is constantly updating the KB923980 patch. I prompts me to install the update and then if installs and finishes. Literally 15 seconds later the icon pops up again saying I have an update and its the same flipping update I downloaded 15 seconds ago. Any ideas as to what is happening here?

Google KB923980 there are plenty of folks complaing about the same thing, some suggestions in the 3rd link you'll see you might want to try.

Download the KB923980 executable installer from the link below (choose your OS):

Run it and if the prompt for the update doesn't disappears after a reboot, try resetting (disable and then re-enable) Automatic updates.

uninstall it and download the patch right from Microsofts site, then try installing it through something besides automatic updates... you could also turn off automatic updates to stop that annoying popup.
