Windows Installer Problem

Hi, all
I seem to be unable to install a game (Battle Realms) due to some M$ Installer error. When I run the setup.exe (which then runs an msi file) a get a message:

This installation package could not be opened.
Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.
-------------------------------------
I was trying to find some info online but did not succeed. Please help!

Sounds like it's corrupted. I don't think theres much you can do except acquire a new file. Maybe a scandisk?

Try checking the Event Viewer logs?

I install it from a CD. Scandisk is not an option.
