OK let me first say this is not a thread to complain or bitch about microsoft. Everyone and their dog knows about the data corruption issue and it this is not a thread to discuss it. If you want to bend over and lay some crap then go someone else.

Right now until they get the data corruption but fixed then i would probably not trust it as a file server i will admit but that doesn't take away the best features of windows home server (backup). There are no corruption problems with backups. In face the backup has already saved my butt once. The backup feature of windows home server is simply outstanding.

Thanks for the info. I just finished installing the eval version to see if I like it. I wonder how long the code is good for.

I'm avoiding the corruption issue by only having one 400 GB HD. I'm hoping it'll be good enough until they fix the issue.

I'm pretty sure its good for 120 days. Thats what i'm running currently. I think i still have a few months left but the price made me jump. Also you can have multiple drives without corruption but don't choose the folder dupllication.

I got a copy of WHS as a gift (Friend is a ms employee) and I find it a great piece of software. I have it running on an old AXP 1800+ with 4 HDD's in there and mainly use it for backup. I only turn it on once a week but then I let it do it's little back-up magic and turn it off again, definitly makes me feel more secure.

I can't wait for power pack 1 (as far as I know it's not out yet) so that I can finally use it to backup my Vista 64 machine.

I didn't mean the eval period. I was wondering how long the coupon code is good for. But, as you said, I might not wait for the eval period to end and just jump now because of the price.

Actually i can't wait for the power pack either. That is what is stopping me from upgrading from XP to Vista x64. WHS has become such a indispensable tool for me.
