The question that I ask myself is, given what is changed. is there better alternative.
I.e., if there is no better alternative I am not going to shoot myself in the foot just for because something that I like changed.

The question I ask is, given what has changed why should I bother to downgrade to WHS2011?

Thats what I use. Its fantastic.
Even the wife uses it, she doesn't know shes using it, but it does all her backups and allows her to see all the shared photos and media in the house.
Thats why its great, its really easy.
Edit: Not sure why you linked Foxit though, not that foxit isnt good...
At least it wasn't something worse on the clipboard!![]()
To be fair, something as flexible as DE is: a) Hard to make, and b) Requires even more Q&A.I'd be surprised if one of the utility vendors like Acronis or Symantec wasn't already working a drive extender add-on product for WHS 2011... it seems like it would sell well.

Certainly it's possible; I wouldn't expect to see a commercial product for WHS 2011 any time soon.
