Windows freezes a min after it starts....

ok, here is the deal.
1. i turned off my comptuer
2. day later, i turn i bakc on. it freezes on the windows xp logo, and the blue bar thing.
3. i try again. freezes same place.
4.i try doing "use last good setting". it works, but a minute after windows loads, it freezes
5.. i try a few mroe times. a min after windows starts, it freezes
6. safemode is the same.

HELP!!!

System specs including power supply plz, overclock settings, OS... and what did you do the day before it crashed the first time?

512mb pny
40gb WD HDD
9200 ati 128mb

and..um... some crappy noname powersupply
it never failed me yet... 😛

i really didnt do anything the day before. jsut soem games and stuff. i did just install paint.net, but i dont see how that would break my comp
