Windows Floder opens up on start up

For some reason after uninstaling Micro Trends Antivirus every time I Boot up my PC the Folder for Widows opens up like it would if you were looking at it in your file system. I have run Spybot , adaware , Microsofts spyware program scaned for virus on micro trends web site and tried out kaspersy. None of the Programs found anything and to be honest I have never goten a virus ever.
So I am lost as to, so any ideas would be of great help.

what os?

if not 2k, then
START
RUN
type MSCONFIG
goto STARTUP tab
see if there is anything in there that starts when your system starts - you will be surprised. Untick anything you don't need, like Office Toolbar, WMP, etc etc
If you arent' sure, do a search on google for each item.

Download and run "Hijack this" . Look for an entry something like this..

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WINDOWSgIFTopen] C:\WINDOWS

, remove that and it should cure your problem. You can also use regedit to look for it, but "hijack this" will make it so much easier and may show you other problems you don't even know you have..😉
