Windows Filesharing (Samba) doesn't work over VPN

I'm trying to restore a VPN connection between work and the boss' place that was lost when the work router had to be reset. I've got pretty much everything working fine, but for some reason I can't connect to the work computers via Filesharing from his place and vice versa. Remote Desktop Connect works fine, and the computers show up in the Network Places tree, but whenever you try to access a computer over the VPN it says it's inaccessable. I'm using two Netgear FVS318 ProSafe VPN routers to set up the VPN router-to-router; I'm wondering if there's something I need to set in there, perhaps something under static routes or something. Anybody know what's stopping Filesharing from working?

P.S.: It might be useful to mention that the router on the work side is not functioning as a DHCP server for the work LAN; the domain controller handles that.

IP, yes. Hostname, not so much.

Nothing in the server logs of relevance. Nothing relating to VPN traffic or packets from the boss' IP <=> work.
