OK, so first I should say my HDD wasn't doing too well for the last month, clicking and stuff, indicating that it will fail soon (I will get RMA).

Anyway, yesterday my PC worked fine, but when I went to start it up today it'd go fine until the Windows boot screen...the bar goes around 4 times about and then freezes at the same place. It won't go past that....

What is wrong? My HDD is still working I think b/c my CMOS still recognizes it.

Would a boot up from the CD do the trick? Even so, wouldn't I have to boot from the CD everytime still?

Thanks for any help.

Probably your hard drive is causing Windows to not boot. Should have got it RMA'd as soon as it had issues. It can be bad and still be detected in the BIOS.

K. I have a 20gb HDD I can use in the meantime I believe. How do I wipe out my failed HDD?
