if any one can help me please do

ok i was just browsing a microsoft forum and it seems that there are quite a few people having this same problem

no one knows how to fix it tho

but they arent as smart as you fine people (hehe)

Have you changed any hardware settings recently ? (ie added new memory, something plugged into a USB slot?)

Try checking the error log by opening up Event Viewer (To open Event Viewer, click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. Double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Event Viewer.)

I got a similar problem today. I am using Windows98 with IE6.0 and every time I open a folder, it gives me some error message and shuts explorer down. Interestingly enough, I can open folders while in safe mode. I think this problem happened after I downloaded some service pack/patch for explorer. Any updates/tips are greatly appreciated.

ya i think your right.. it started after that last service pack....
hmmm

and nope i havent changed anything hardware related

microsoft has done it now!!! haha
