Windows Explorer issue

Hey guys,
My dad has a Sony Vaio P4 2.8ghz. When he is on the computer, the windows explorer has a error comes up every 5 seconds, i dont know how to fix this problem, done the adware and spybots, but still has a issue, how can i fix it ?

but try safe mode, msconfig, disable all startup options, and see if that helps.

Sounds like a virus or corrupt registry entry perhaps 🙁
 
If you can get in fast enough, turn off all IE extensions and toolbars. Willing to bet it will turn out to be one of them.
