K, well just an update. It's been running on a different hard drive since this post, no problems. Other HDD is RMA'd, it looks like that was indeed the problem. Thanks
 
Spoke too soon... With the new hard drive now it wont boot. I'm getting error 0xc000000e
"The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible. "
