Windows Emergency Shutdown After Overclocking

I upped my CPU/PCI freq from 133/33 to 145/36, and when windows loaded I got a blue screen which said it had been shut down due to possible component damage. This is because of my motherboard's safety feature no doubt. The thing is that the processor wasn't overheating at all (42C, normal), neither was the memory bay (32C, normal) and I dont think that the PCI was an issue since I turned it down to 143/36 and no blue screen. Im not sure whats causing this, if somone with experience with Asus motherboards could help, that would be most appreciated.

actually 143=35.75 pci and 145=36.25pci

thats if its exact...which it probably isnt

do you have any pci cards ?
maybe pull them out

also could be hd not liking high bus....

Do you know if there's anywhere to look up the error code to see if that would tell what was having problems? Ive looked up and down the Asus site looking for something like that, but couldnt seem to find anything. I guess until then Ill have to start pulling out PCI components one by one...

i don tthink its proprietary to asus (i too have an asus and have gotten it) but its mostly concerned with overclocking

it might have been the cpu, not enough vcore
