I just upgraded my pc (GFX card, MOBO, CPU). The bios and everything seems to work fine. When it goes to boot windows though it gets nowhere, when i restart i get the message "windows did not boot properly etc..." I tried the repair function on my windows xp cd, and now it goes throught the wind.ows boot up screen, but restarts after that.

I tried using ERD commander and that works no problem, so Im guessing its some driver that is screwing up or something and it will probably work if i reistall windows. Is there any way around that though, its just such a hassle having to reinstall all my programs. I probably will do it some time, but i just wasnt planning on doing it this minute.

Thanx

Did you reload windows and your having this problem? Or are you trying to boot from the original hard drive that was installed on the old M/B processor combo?

the one that was installed on the old MB combo. Does this generally not work?
