Windows Defender is stupid

Why in the hell would you make a spyware removal app that cannot be updated in safe mode.

Hmm, haven't tried it in safe mode. Defender is still in beta though, submit something to MS about it if you really want it in Defender.

Windows Defender is not something I keep in my "toolkit" when I clean customers computers because there are better alternatives. I knew that it could not be installed in safe mode, but I wasn't aware that it couldn't be updated. Even though it's free I rarely recommend it.

It also seems to have "slowed" down my computer bootup alittle since I installed it.

I was decently happy with MS AntiSpyware Beta 1. Less so with this.
