in windows 9x,nt4, and 2000 you can customize each folder to have a certain background picture. is there any way to do this in windows xp? i can only find out how to change the icons and folder picture in thumbnail view. but i want a background for different folders.

in windows 2000, this was done with the "Customize this Folder Wizard", the filename was ieshwiz.exe. see if this file is present in XP or copy over the one from 2000 and see if it works.

If that doesn't work, maybe you can go into the OS forum, since they should be able to provide help 🙂
<---doesn't know about folder customization in XP
