Windows COM+ Event Error

In Windows XP SP3 I received the below error:

The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during its internal processing. HRESULT was 8007041F from line 44 of f:\xpsp3\com\com1x\src\events\tier1\eventsystemobj.cpp. Please contact Microsoft Product Support Services to report this error.

I have googled it and came across the following MS Windows help page HERE.

In my services COM+ Event System status is "Started" and "Startup Type" is "Manual" just as the MS Windows help page describes.


What suggestions do you have?

Event viewer says the following:

Category:50
Event: 4609
Source: Event System

Does the system work? What doesn't run right? Try booting into Safe Mode then reboot. You can also try a System Restore to a day before you got that message.

System works and I have changed a setting in the COM+ in services but still in the event viewer I get the error.

I have system restore disabled.

That's too bad. If everything works, ignore the error. The next step would be to run a Registry Cleaner.
