Windows boots me out

When I start up my computer and after windows has just finished loading my computer restarts. Everything works fine in Safe Mode.

Any ideas on why!!!

Any help would be appreciated!!!

Sounds like a PSU problem. Once windows boots, if you are running Vista or win7, the graphics card kicks into 3D mode for the Aero interface. This puts more load on the PSU.

Do the HDs make any strange noises, like they are spinning down and back up again?

Tell us what OS, and what hardware, and how old the PSU, HD, and computer are.
 
Windows XP Pro x64, Asus Maximus Formula, Intel QX9650, Quadro FX3500, 150GB Raptor, 8GB Ram.

All components were purchased in January 2008.

The hard drive does make some strange noise.
