Ok heres the situation. I made the mistake of hooking all 4 of my Seagate 300gb drives up at install time..so windows installed on drive E by mistake (I should have caught it). I have been getting random freezes in windows since install (also running a X2 4400+) so could the boot drive mix up be whats causing it?

Secondly, I don't have a problem reinstalling windows (would rather not but will if absolutely needed), and I do have an extra 74gb Raptor laying around. Would it be possible to unhook all my current drives, install the raptor and install windows on it without uninstalling the copy of windows on my current drive until after its loaded on the raptor and I take the files that I need off? I know this is odd, but can it be done?

And finally...would 5 hard drives (4 300gb seagate sata drives and 1 74gb raptor) along with everything else (mobo, xfx 7800GTX vid card, hauppauge PVR, 2 optical drives, etc) be too much for my power supply to handle (its a pc power and cooling 510 SLI).

Thanks in advance..much appreciated.

Yes to hdrives and no to power supply. It should be big enough
I would suggest installing xp bare or with only sp1 and then hook up the other drive to get your info. xpsp2 can have issues with 2 xp's installed on 2 active partitions.
