Sorry to intrude, but don't you folks find that Windblinds makes Windows crawl at times. More so than usual? I liked the look and feel of winblinds, but I found it had too many quirks causeing skewed visuals on screen and color distortions.

Just curious?

Ya I loved it too. Lead to wonder why it was not part of the customization of Windows. I mean, you can do some coloring, and font changing, but not to huge degree of change to the GUI unless you use something like Winblinds. Microsoft should have thought of that with the Win 98, 98SE and ME versions of their popular OS.

HOVERDESK
Windowblinds works fine for me. I use it on win2k and it runs smoothly. I use the litestep 2 litescape theme. Check out hoverdesk for a change in gui.

I had binds running for a while with the osx theme.. seemed nice.. but kinda made my system unstable.. but its a good program

it even mimicied mac's feature of rolling windows.. where you click on the button in the upper right of a window and it rolls up into the title bar

You don't like Destop X? You suck!! Sorry, I'm just a Desktop X fanatic. It sucks if you change your resolution though :( Oh well, I gotta change it back to the bigger 1150x600 or something.. I'll take a screen shot.

DesktopX has major problems. It takes up a whole lot of resources.. RAM and CPU. It also uses directX and has issues with active desktop. Plus it costs money. And stardock is a bad company in my experience.

post your screenshot... here's mine.. LINK
the blue buttons on the top bar are pull down menus with links to the appropriate apps and such.
the box to the right is a command line box, then I put my taskbar and my systray followed by a clock.. everything is completely customizable. Too bad I couldn't show the right click menu, because it is blue and stylish, also customizable.. i put links to IE, c drive, d drive, Display Properties, uptime, time, and date on the desktop right click menu.
