Windows batch file association

OK, so I figured I should change the actions for a batch file.
First, I noticed no "open with"
So I go to folder options, file types...no BAT listing!
It's in the registry, quite cryptically. I can blwo it away (and did), and set it so I can edit it, but then while the default action and available actions change, it still does not show up in the list for editing actions of file types.

Is there any simple way I just get it to show in the normal list, to easily edit the properties?
