windows 98 task bar problem

I'm using my GF's computer right now... she's been having this problem for a while. Her task bar at the bottom does not show any programs. When you minimize a browser (for example), there is nothing on the task bar, so the only way to get the window back is by alt-tabbing.

any ideas?

maybe she pulled the quick luanch bar too big?

I got it...

For anyone who has this problem in the future... deleting "Friends Greeting" and "WinSrvReg" from add/remove programs in the control panel brought back the programs in the taskbar. I found the fix on another forum...
