WIndows 98 Start Button

After using my computer for a little while I begin to see my start button is distorted. It picks up the colors of whatever application I have been running. So I instead of seeing the Start i see a bunch of colors. Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone know how to fix it? (I'm running win98 2nd addition)

it sounds like a desplay problem, check to see if your drivers are working properly, as well as if there might me newer "better" drivers for yout vid card, also check the refresh rate of your monitor and see if you can up it a bit, to see if the problem goes away.
