Windows 98 SE

I am shutting down a Micron XKu PII 266. On my new rig I want to install Windows 98 Second Addition. The PC that I am shutting down had an OEM 98 OS. I have the SE upgrade that I used on the old rig. My last tech repairman got off with my CD for Windows 98. Now I don't have the old windows 98 to install and upgrade. I can't even find one on the web.
Am I going to have to buy the whole new 98 SE CD? I have a new MS Millenium Addition, but I have built towards flight sim, and understand that MS 98SE is the best OS for that. All advice welcome. Cyberdad

There's only one way to get 98 for free on the net and that's illegally. However this is relatively easy. Best of luck.

BTW, this sounds like a great reason to try Linux.

there are people out there that have several oem os cds from various systems they bought or upgraded

you might be able to get what you need from a friend

i have os cds that i don't want to even use anymore

i think everybody should just use 2k pro and forget the rest

and when xp comes out i'll get that and give all my other os cds away, except 2k pro
