Windows 98 log on password PLEASE HELP $5 paypal

Yeah, some folks are telling me thats wierd, that fdisk wont come up from a boot disk. I made the boot disk just like IBM said as well, on hteir webpages.... I will check with them for more help.

I think my best bet may be to contact the systems administrator from the company I got these from and get the password...then disable it or rename it.

It's not really all that amazing, your probably just formatting with the /s system option.

Go to control panel add/remove programs and create a boot disk. This is a system policy, you will either need to get the correct profile password or re-install.

The control panel will come up, but I can not go into any files....tells me to contact system administrator it wont let me in to add remove programs....as I mentionsed previously, it will let me save to a:\ only, cant go any further than that....I am bummin...thanks for the advise.

If you know the Admin, stop playing around with it and just get the password. But if you do get the password please let us all know whats really going on.

do you think deleteing reg and rebuilding it would do anything people?

I just got hold of the admin...he is of little help. THe system has a proprietary feature that disables pretty much everything from Dos to windows and all features except most basic....such as listing the directory and such. He wont even tell me what it is, its name or anything..he did say its buried pretty deep and his people need to sign confidentiality agreements to work there and may not talk bout it outside of work....BIG BROTHER HUH?? He said they took mucho time and $$$ to not let info out and this going to me was a mistake....hmmmm must some good info on this laptop.

He will not give password....this laptop slipped through by mistake....he said i should bring it there and he will fdisk it. CRAP....I may keep trying or just give up...
