Windows 98 installation using WinME!

Hi all,

I've got a problem. Currently I've got a PC which I'm trying to fix for friends. It has WinME on it and keeps getting Kernel errors and bombing out. I suggested getting rid of ME and using 98 instead (the system only has 64meg RAM so I thought win98 would better suit it)

Problem is, I'm using my PC to create a start up disk for this other PC. I use WinMe, can I create a startup disk in WinME and use it for an install of win98?

My PC never came with a WinME installation disk and the only OS I have on CD is Win98.

What can I do?

yep, you can install win98 off a winme startup disk no problem

or you can go to bootdisk.com and d/l a real win98 boot disk
