Windows 98 hangs with Voodoo 4500 AGP card

 I have set up 2 partitions on my primary hard drive. I have successfully (thanks to this BB!) installed Windows 98 on my "C" drive and Windows XP on my "D" drive. Windows 98 will not load when I have my Voodoo 4500 card in place. Windows XP loads fine. When I put my old video card in, Windows 98 will load without any problem. I have tried installing the latest 3dfx drivers but without success. Starting in safe mode does not help. Step by Step Confirmation only results in a black screen.
Any suggestions? Can I make modifications to my Windows 98 setup via my XP loaded partition?

Are you sure you put the right drivers? Possibly the drivers were made for Win98SE! and not for Win98.

I think I have the right drivers. It may seem a silly question, but where exactly should they be installed? Is it in the C:\windows\system directory? I t may be that Windows 98 cannot find the driver during the startup process.
