Hi all,
Last night I was asked to setup a modem connection for someone here in the UK.
So I put the necessary ISP software on the PC and tried to connect, but it said
Dial Up Adapter wasn't installed on the PC, so I thought no problem I'll just whack
the Windows 95 CD and away we go. But the computer crashed half way through installing
the comms stuff necessary for Dial Up Adapter, when I restarted the PC, I was getting
this message, can't find VNETSUP.VXD (this is before Windows 95 loads to the desktop),
and says its being looked for in the system.ini file. If I press a key the PC continues
on into Windows 95. But here's the weird thing, I can't try to reinstall the Dial Up Adapter
cause the computer won't see the Windows 95 CD, nor will it see the CD that I just copied
the CAB files too, but the computer will recognise and let me browse any other CD I've
put it it. On my PC at home (running Win2000 Pro) I get no problems looking at this Windows
95 CD.
Help!!!! This should have taken 5 mins to setup the net connection, but its turning into
hours and hours.
