Windows 8 Questions

Hi there

I've installed Windows 8 Enterprise on my pc and have some questions

1. windows photo viewer - in vista, changing from pic to pic using the arrow keys is almost instant, but in windows 8 take about a second to change once I press the arrow key. Is it a bug or is there a setting I can change to speed it up?

2. I've pre-ordered the win8 pro upgrade dvd from amazon uk. As my current os is vista 32bit, will this upgrade allow me to choose the 64bit version or only 32bit?

Cheers

1) not to sure, never personally used it.

2) if you want to save your data while doing the upgrade, you can only go from 32bit to 32-bit. If you don't want to save your data, meaning you backed it up manually. you can upgrade to 64bit, as it requires a full format.

The only issue is, what media does the upgrade package come with, if it was like vista and 7, it will probably only come with the media that you ordered ie 32bit.

I highly recommend you format and install Windows 8 x64 instead of upgrading. On that note Dahak is correct, you cannot "upgrade" an OS from x86 to x64

Thanks for the replys

The version I've pre-ordered from amazon is [Here] , it was available last week ,but they have removed it for some reason.

It does not state what is included ie. 32bit or 64bit or both.

I assume that when I install it. I will get to choose which version to install (32 or 64).

My current pc only has 2gb of ram, but I intend to upgrade it around Janurary so will need to run 64 at that point.
