Windows 8 Mail App

question: I have 3 email accounts in my Windows 8 mail app.

Outlook.com, exchange, Gmail.

Right now, it defaults to show outlook.com's email. Can I have it so I can rearrange the accounts so that another account may be first/on top? I've exhausted all my options...

I assume 8 would be the same as 8.1 In 8.1, open Control Panel, then select Default Programs. You will see your apps in the left pane. Select the one you want as default.

I do it with MailWasherPro. I set up my email apps in the order I want them, and it follows my setup for checking email. I have 3 accounts. It checks 'em all and I can then delete all spam and crap without ever downloading.

Thanks for the help, but I'm only using the Windows 8 mail app. What I mean to say is that my 'Outlook.com' email address (which coincidentally is also my Microsoft account -- xxxxxx@outlook.com) shows up first in my Windows 8 Mail App. Is there a way where I can have this email account last?

As of right now, no there is not a way to rearrange the order of accounts on the bottom of the side bar, so the Microsoft account would take precedence. However, any email after that, one can rearrange that order, if they change the settings of the accounts so they are in such an order, or add them sequentially as one intended.

This is done in the Charms settings when you have the Mail app active under accounts.

Possibly not the ideal way, but one can always still submit feedback on a feature to add.
