another 1:

netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

Put it in a bat file and start as administrator.

Good luck.

PS I don't have any problems with Win8.1 anymore:whiste:

Don`t you just love these blame win 8.1 threads...when its another issue......lolol

It is a windows 8.1 issue, or at least a windows issue in general. There should be one single page where you can go to in windows, one page that will let you set every single power option related to what can wake your computer from sleep. But there are several different locations you have to check. It's just a terribly coded OS, leading it to be failure prone. And to top it all off even if you set everything right, you can still have problems, ie the infamous "wake source: unknown" issue.

Seriously your computer can wake up at any time and windows cant even tell you what woke it up! This isnt a joke; its actually a real issue that has never been fixed in almost 10 years, going back to vista. Anyone want to place any bets on whether this crap will be working correctly in 2024?

No OS has that magical single page. Certainly not Linux or OS X. Both have more options via the command line. Windows has most at least around the power page(s).
