Just curious, but how old is the laptop?

I have an HP laptop that I got about six months before Vista came out and I'm running Win7 on it great right now. The only problem was the graphics driver but I found a tool that hacks the official ATI driver to work with OEM laptops.

Other than that and a couple quick launch buttons not working (that didn't work in Vista either), it runs great.

Still rocking XP Pro (circa aught 3), like it's going out of style!

Need to upgrade the mobo/mem/CPU before I download my 7. 🙁

Not really. Vista bugs are fixed with vista patches and 7 bugs will be fixed with 7 patches.
 
My status shows "Delayed" online. I ordered Pro Full DVD version.
I expected it to be delayed... I just wonder how long.
 
I am downloading my Digital River copy now. Maxes my crappy connection out easily enough (~187k/sec).
 
I ordered it off newegg. Sigh, I think I should have looked for somewhere that would ship so that it'd arrive the day it's released : (

I was apparently a bit too optimistic that the speed would stick around...it's down around 525kb/sec now.

I averaged around 950kb/sec also. Finished in a couple of hours
