I've tried to connect 2 bt speakers and other devices, including the TV. The system doesn't see anything when I press "search for devices" in "Printers and Devices". Bluetooth is on in services and the devices are turned on and waiting to be recognized too. On top of that I have PC set to discovareble etc. I've tried to re-install the drivers too, but no luck.

Specifications:

-Acer aspire E1-571G

-Windows 7, x64

-Wifi card Atheros (WLAN+Bluetooth) (current driver version: 10.0.0.38)

-Bluetooth card AR5B22

Any ideas what more can I try?

Have you ever connected to anything before using Bluetooth?

From what I am able to see, it says it just has wifi, not Bluetooth:

https://www.notebookcheck.net/Acer-Aspire-E1-571G-3114G50Mnks.87290.0.html

You can enter your serial # here, to make sure (I can't see the specs without it):

https://www.acer.com/ac/en/IL/content/support-product/4242;-;Aspire E1-571G

I do see they have a Bluetooth driver listed, so I downloaded the quick start guide, but it doesn't list hardware specs either. I see people have had issues with Bluetooth all the way back to 2013: https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/145533/how-to-turn-on-the-blutooth-on-my-acer-aspire-e1-571

Maybe they made a mistake or change at the last minute, and didn't add Bluetooth. There was another user here a few months back who was in the same position. Even though the website showed in came with Bluetooth on their Canada support site, it did not have it at all.

EDIT

Here is that thread:

Yes I've used bluetooth on this computer before. There are even some devices I had connected probably a year ago or so, but I don't have access to those anymore, so I can't say if it still works.

This model supposed to have a wifi card with built in bluetooth, that's why it's not possible to find a separate bluetooth driver, although I found some and tried, but didn't work.
